Each year, FutureEverything invites submissions & nominations for the FutureEverything Awards and submissions for the FutureEverything Festival & Conference.
The FutureEverything Awards call for submissions is the route to have outstanding work by you or an artist you support considered for this major new international award. The Open Calls in Art, Music, Conference & Showcase are the route to having your project considered for the FutureEverything Festival & Conference.

The FutureEverything Awards recognise outstanding achievement for innovation in the arts, music, society and technology. They celebrate creative projects in any medium which offer a new and unique way to experience or see the world and help to bring the future into the present. Submissions opened in September and the deadline has now passed.
Each year FutureEverything commissions new artworks and presents exhibitions on society, technology, environment and the city, with a focus on artworks that are participatory, sited in public space, and in an urban context. The FutureEverything Art Award 2010 replaces the old Futuresonic Art Award Commission.

FutureEverything's acclaimed international conference, the Social Technologies Summit brings 500 opinion formers, futurologists, artists, researchers, technologists and scientists from the digital culture, technology and art communities together around shared issues to do with social media, society, art and the city. Inviting proposals for talks, presentations, workshops and session themes. Submissions of innovative formats for social interaction and experimentation are encouraged. Submissions open September 2009.
During the festival, Showcase (formerly EVNTS) presents a programme of independently run music and art events across the city, showcasing new and groundbreaking talent in a festival-within-the-festival. It gives the opportunity for more people to participate in the festival, and enables artists to get their work seen and heard, plus a limited number are awarded funding assessed by a jury of industry experts. You are warmly invited to propose here an independent event for the Showcase Programme in the festival, or join us at the Showcase meetings and be a part of the growing Showcase Network.
FutureEverything's explosive Music programme covers genres as diverse as dubstep, contemporary classical, lo-fi indie, electronica, deep house, math rock, leftfield hip-hop and italo disco. Celebrating musical pioneers, mavericks, boundary-breakers, radical music makers and emerging talent at 30 venues citywide. FutureEverything takes over the finest venues in Manchester for a celebration of musicianship and a salute to those who perform on the cutting-edge. Please note: every year, demand outstrips opportunitities to perform, so please do not be disappointed if we are unable to include you in the festival programme.
FutureEverything offers a range of opportunities to join the team and gain experience of staging music, art and technology events.
Long and short term placements are available year round, and during the festival this may include working on marketing, production, artist liaison, front of house, and other areas.
We look for commitment and, above all, a willingness to get involved and get along with artists, audience and the rest of the team to make the festival a great success.
