EVNTS: FutureEverything Launch Event: EVNTS Network Meeting: 03/11/09

FutureEverything will be launching a series of big bang events throughout the Autumn leading up to the inaugural FutureEverything festival in May 2010.

Northwest Vision and Media are proud to sponsor the next EVNTS Meeting by FutureEverything featuring guest speaker BBC Radio's Hugh Garry, presented in Partnership with Manchester's Social Media Cafe.

You are warmly invited to join the growing EVNTS Network and attend the next EVNTS Meeting.

EVNTS is a network of North West creatives working in events, music and the arts. The EVNTS Meetings are a series of regular gatherings, open to everybody working in the creative industries and beyond, to come together to network, collaborate and share.

Since its introduction in 2005, EVNTS has grown from a strand of the FutureEverything festival (formerly Futuresonic), and into a community of creative people who meet year round.

During the festival, EVNTS presents a programme of independently run music and art events across the city, showcasing new and groundbreaking talent. It gives the opportunity for more people to participate in the festival, and enables artists to get their work seen and heard, plus a limited number are awarded funding assessed by a jury of industry experts.

In 2008, EVNTS expanded into becoming a series of networking meetings throughout the year, and in 2009 FutureEverything has collaborated with Northwest Vision & Media to enhance the network through a series of speaker led presentations and workshops. Each EVNTS meeting will be designed specifically to offer a platform of support and advice to those who wish to get involved in the festival and to help develop the burgeoning creative economy within the region.

The next EVNTS meeting will feature invited speaker BBC Radio's Hugh Garry. Hugh is currently employed as a senior creative producer at BBC Radio, with over 12 years experience in creative strategy and new media project management at Radio 1. He is currently responsible for driving digital creativity at Radio 1, overseeing all new media projects and inspiring a team of producers to push the boundaries of innovation.

Additionally, the next EVNTS meeting will be presented in partnership with Manchester's Social Media Cafe. The monthly Social Media Cafe is a place for all people who are interested in Social Media and its uses, to gather, get acquainted, plot, scheme and share. Urban Festival of Art, Music & Ideas

The festival formerly known as Futuresonic. 

FutureEverything 2010 features world premieres of astonishing artworks, an explosive city-wide music programme, and visionary thinkers from around the world. It is a major international festival that occupies the obrits of art, performance, music, design and digital culture.  

In 2009, the award winning festival drew an attendance of 75,000, and featured a huge range of incredible music and artistic projects including many world-firsts. 

FutureEverything is a Regularly Funded Organisation (RFO) of Arts Council England North West and is supported by Manchester City Council and Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
