FutureEverything provides a platform for people like you to create, perform and inspire. This area of the website highlights some of the pathways which exist to develop your artistic, technological or social practice.

FutureEverything has developed a unique partnership with Lancaster University, which is a leading UK university rated among the top 4 UK universities for research in Art and Design (RAE2008). FutureEverything's Director and founder, Drew Hemment, is Associate Director of the ImaginationLancaster research centre at Lancaster University.

MA Professional Contemporary Arts Practice (ProCAP)

Dr. Drew Hemment, Creative Director at FutureEverything, is running an MA at Lancaster University for practising artists and graduates that aims to equip them to develop a professional career. It conists in a major practice project plus industry-facing modules cover cultural entrepreneurship, business planning, marketing and fundraising. Students also undertake a placement with an arts organisation and create a portfolio, website or DVD relating to their practice. Pathways exist for the fields of Applied Design, Computer Music, Dance, Digital Arts, Fine Art, Interdisciplinary Arts, Live Art, Theatre and Performance.

Highwire Doctoral Training Centre

Creating Innovative People for Radical Change - HighWire is a £5million Digital Economies Doctoral Training Centre at Lancaster University. It has a post-disciplinary approach to innovation through research which crosses computing, design and management. Currently recruiting exceptional students with backgrounds in computing, design and management to join HighWire in 2009. Receive a £16,290 p.a. enhanced stipend, study in a new purpose-built facility and work with world-leading commercial partners.

FutureEverything Network Events

FutureEverything runs regular gatherings open to everybody working in the creative industries and beyond, to come together to network, collaborate and share. In 2009 FutureEverything has collaborated with Northwest Vision and Media to enhance the network through a series of speaker led presentations and workshops. Each networking meeting offers support and advice to help develop the burgeoning creative economy within the region and to guide those who wish to get involved in FutureEverything projects.

FuturesFamily

FuturesFamily is a new Artists in Residence initiative established to nurture artists at the very cutting edge of art, music and ideas. Our family have been hand selected for their innovation and experimentation, driving forward our ethos to challenge and inspire.

Open Calls

Each year FutureEverything run open calls for submissions of artworks and projects to be presented at the FutureEverything festival and conference. The 2010 Call For Submissions is now closed.
